Product detailed description

This traditional Japanese tea is created by grinding de-veined spring tea leaves, which have been shaded on the plantations for about 21 days with a lightly translucent roofing structure, into a fine powder. Besides its sweet and delicate taste, Matcha tea also offers numerous benefits for the human body – it is rich in antioxidants, helps calm the mind, improves concentration, and contains many vitamins such as A, C, and E. Additionally, it serves as a full-fledged substitute for the popular (morning) cup of coffee or as a quality companion for any tea ceremony.

Why do we love to drink this tea?

  • It comes from one of the best Matcha tea producers in all of Japan. The renowned Marukyu Koyamaen factory, which places great emphasis on quality, is located in the ancient city of Uji in the Kyoto region, the paradise of green teas. Through Dobrá čajovna, you get Matcha of the highest quality.
  • It has a balanced and velvety sweet taste. This makes it suitable not only for tea ceremonies but also as a drink that enriches your everyday life.
  • It is made from de-veined leaves. Therefore, it is not an infusion of dried leaves but the pure pulp of the tea leaf.
  • It has beneficial effects on our body. It is full of antioxidants, helps calm the mind, and improves concentration. It also contains a tea equivalent of caffeine, which is released in the body over 3-6 hours, making it more favorable for your body than a cup of coffee.

How can you prepare the tea?

  • Wako belongs to the category of Usucha teas (one of the two traditional Japanese preparation styles in the Matcha tea ceremony), which literally translates to "light" or "thin" tea. For its preparation, you only need 0.7 dcl of water at 70°C, which you pour over 2 g of tea. Interestingly, Usucha is characterized by a layer of foam or bubbles, usually achieved using a traditional Japanese bamboo whisk – but if you don't have one, don't hesitate to use a regular whisk or milk frother.
  • Prepare the tea anytime during the day, but no later than 3-4 hours before bedtime, as its stimulating effects might disrupt your deep sleep.

Ingredients: Pure green tea.

Warnings:

  • Matcha does not replace a balanced and varied diet.
  • Do not exceed the recommended daily amount (2-3 cups depending on personal body constitution and metabolism).
  • Avoid consuming the tea 3-4 hours before sleep due to its stimulating effects.
  • The product is not suitable for children, pregnant, and breastfeeding women.
  • If you are taking medication or are under medical supervision, consult your doctor about drinking this specific tea.

Storage:

Store the product out of the reach of children, in a dry and cool place, away from direct sunlight (ideally up to 25°C).

When Hubert Hátle started in 1994 as a tea journeyman in Pardubice's Dobrá čajovna, he had no idea where honest work and a desire for knowledge supported by (hecto)litres of quality tea would lead him. His steps ranged from training prospective employees to travelling through China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Georgia or Turkey to Wenceslas Square, where he finally bought Dobra Tea Factory from its original owner in 2015. Thanks to this, the name no longer hides only branches with the finest teas, but also sales and tastings of wine, coffee, chocolate and cocoa. There is also no shortage of tea courses, stylish catering, expert lectures and exhibitions or corporate team building - but there must always be enough time to visit the Asian suppliers who keep all the products as good as they were 30 years ago.
